Stradivarius Violin Pool

While it is the start of Winter in Australia, it is getting hot in Hong Kong and most likely also very hot in other Northern Hemisphere countries.  If you love swimming as well as a string musician, then you will undoubtedly fall in love with this beautiful built and designed Stradivarius Violin – shaped pool.

The pool is an exact replica in scale of a 1700s era Stradivarius violin with all of its detail and intricacies.  All of the violin attributes were accounted for including purlflings, f-holes, a bridge, strings, a tailpiece, and a chinrest.  The ‘strings’ of the violin are embedded with 6,800 fiber optic strands; each string can be individually controlled and synchronized to light up to a piece of music; and there are eight underwater speakers.  The “bow” of the violin is represented by two koi ponds, and which intersects the neck of the violin pool.
